| This is almost of heroic proportions, with a stance reminiscent of the statues from the Great Proletariat Cultural Revolution. Although enfeebled by age, the head is lifted defiantly with hope. The swirling cumulus gathering among the sharp precipice reminds us of the long struggle of the Chinese people against corruption and systemic abuse. The deep blue palette draws one deep into the majestic landscape where the elemental splendor contrast to shine against a muddy background. |
